At the heart of our pharmacy is a shared story – one built on partnership, passion, and a deep connection to the communities we serve.
We are a husband-and-wife team of pharmacists, with Wes starting his career in Byron and Jacqueline in Melbourne. Each of them finding their way to each other in the sunshine state of Queensland. It was there that we first discovered not only our love for pharmacy, but each other and we married and started our family. Working mostly in and around the Sunshine Coast, each having ownership in stores that they were Managing Partners.
During that time, we grew both personally and professionally, refining our vision of what a modern pharmacy could be—one that blends exceptional healthcare with warmth, style, and genuine connection. This level of service saw Jacqueline recognised as 2023 Queensland Pharmacist of the Year, by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and during that same year her store was recognised as a finalist in the Pharmacy Guild National Pharmacy of the Year awards.
Their combined experience in the profession was growing and the desire to work together on a unique and bespoke Pharmacy model was at its peak. From hospital-based pharmacy services to palliative care work and all aspects of community pharmacy in between, meant these two could see that they needed to step away to step up.
We could see that the Pharmacy industry was changing, a corporate model wasn’t going to define us, and we decided to work toward our own vision of creating a curated pharmacy that resonated with European influences and a high service-based model for the community.
Now, we’ve come full circle, with Wes returning to “Blues territory” and the Northern Rivers region for them to take ownership of Bangalow Pharmacy. This move is more than a business decision—it’s a move that resonates with our personal and family values. We are deeply inspired by the region’s culture, creativity, and community spirit, and we’re proud to be part of it once again.
Our pharmacy reflects who we are. We’ve created a space that combines a high-end, boutique feel with a distinctly European-inspired aesthetic, with inspiration coming from Wes’s Italian ancestry —modern, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. But beyond the look and feel, we’ve expanded our services to better support the evolving needs of our community. From personalised healthcare advice to a broader range of clinical services, our goal is to provide care that is both comprehensive and compassionate.
